Virunga, Democratic Republic of Congo

Virunga is one of the world's most bio-diverse treasures and Africa's oldest National Park.  It's home to more mammal, bird and reptile species than any other protected area on earth, including multiple Great Apes.

The park includes breathtaking views of dense jungle, vast bubbling lava lakes, wide savannah plains and snow capped mountains.  For those wishing to encounter exceptional wildlife and landscapes, Virunga offers an unparalleled experience.  It is also one of the few remaining places where you can see endangered mountain gorillas - living peacefully on the slopes of the parks volcanoes.
