Paro Valley, Bhutan
Bhutan is a mysterious and beautiful country situated in the Eastern Himalayas and sandwiched between China(Tibet) and India. Due to its limitation on letting tourists in and its rich and vibrant culture, Bhutan features on the bucket list of many people and it's easy to see why.
The Paro Valley is an area of breathtaking beauty. Its one of the widest valleys in the kingdom, filled with elegant, traditional Bhutanese houses and more than 150 monasteries and temples dating back to the 14th century. This includes Bhutan's most iconic landmark - the Taktsang Monastery or "Tigers Nest". Built on a sheer cliff face, above a lush forest.
The town of Paro houses the country's first and only international airport and luxurious, high end resorts which make it the main destination in Bhutan for visitors.
